FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who may submit a paper?
Submissions are welcome from researchers, faculty members, independent scholars, postdoctoral fellows, doctoral candidates, Early career researchers, and practitioners working in relevant fields.

What should an abstract include?
Abstracts of 250–300 words should include the paper title, research objectives, methodology, principal findings or arguments, and 4–5 keywords.

Are works-in-progress eligible?
Yes. Both completed research and well-developed works-in-progress are welcome.

May I submit more than one abstract?
Yes. A maximum of two abstracts may be submitted, provided you are not the first author on both. The second submission must be as a co-author.

Are co-authored papers accepted?
Yes. Please note that three co-authors are permitted per submission.

How do I submit?
All submissions should be made via dhuconference@gmail.com

What citation style is required?
Authors should follow APA 7th edition conventions throughout.

When will authors be notified?
Authors will be informed of the acceptance/rejection by 14th August, 2026.

Will papers be published?
Selected papers will be published in an edited volume.

Is there a registration fee?
Yes. The fee structure is as follows — Faculty: 2000 INR; Researchers: 1500 INR; International Participants 30 USD; Attendees: 300 INR

May I attend without presenting?
Yes. Non-presenting participants may register as attendees.

Will the conference be held in person, online, or in hybrid format?
The conference will be held in person at Darjeeling Hills, University, Mungpoo, Darjeeling.

Can international participants present virtually?
No. The conference is a fully in-person conference.

Are travel and accommodation arrangements provided?
The organizers will not provide accommodation, but can recommend homestays and guest rooms in and near Mungpoo.

Is financial assistance available?
No.
