Dr. Mahesh Dahal is a Nepali poet, critic, and academic known for his significant contribution to Indian Nepali literature. Born in 1989 in Darjeeling, he has been actively involved in teaching, research, and creative writing for over a decade. His poetry, criticism, and stories reflect deep philosophical insight, cultural consciousness, and a refined literary sensibility. Dr. Dahal has presented research papers at numerous national and international seminars and has published widely in journals, magazines, and literary platforms. He has represented Indian Nepali literature on several prestigious national and global stages.

His scholarly pursuits include Nepali literature, literary criticism, comparative literature, identity discourses, and socio-philosophical studies. Alongside his academic work, he has edited multiple literary volumes and contributed significantly to the promotion of Nepali language and literature.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Modern Nepali poetry, literary criticism, narrative theory, comparative literature, identity studies, translation studies, socio-cultural analysis of the Eastern Himalayas, gender discourse, postmodern Nepali literature, and linguistics. His work explores the evolving dynamics of Nepali literature within multicultural contexts.
